Introducing the new Pet Food Pantry at Riverside Animal Clinic & Holistic Center! Located in McHenry, IL, this pantry aims to provide essential supplies for pets in need. The pantry follows the clinic’s mission to promote the health and well-being of animals in the community. By offering free pet food, the pantry ensures that families facing financial difficulties can still provide for their beloved pets. With the support of compassionate individuals and organizations, Riverside Animal Clinic hopes to make a positive impact on the lives of both pets and their owners.

Rules for the Pet Food Pantry at Riverside Animal Clinic & Holistic Center on Thursdays:

Eligibility: Our pet food pantry is here to lend a helping paw to individuals and families facing economic hardship in providing food for their furry companions. To qualify for assistance, all we ask is that you demonstrate your need and provide relevant documentation, such as proof of income or enrollment in government assistance programs.

Registration: We kindly request that participants register at our clinic before accessing the pet food pantry. This helps us keep accurate records and ensures that resources are distributed fairly among those in need.

Distribution Days and Times: We’re thrilled to announce that the pet food pantry will be open on Thursdays from 10 AM to 12 PM. We encourage participants to arrive early to ensure they have access to the pet food items they require.

One Visit per Household: Each household is welcome to visit the pantry once a week to receive pet food. By implementing this policy, we can assist as many families as possible and ensure that every pet gets the support they deserve.

Pet Information: To ensure that we cater to the specific needs of each pet, we kindly request that participants provide accurate information about their beloved companions, including breed, age, size, and any dietary restrictions they may have.

Respectful Behavior: We deeply value respect and kindness towards our volunteers, staff, and fellow participants. We kindly ask all visitors to the pet food pantry to treat others with utmost respect and refrain from engaging in any form of harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior.

Limitations on Quantity: In order to distribute resources fairly, there may be limitations on the quantity of pet food provided per household. These limits will be determined based on availability and the number of families seeking assistance. We kindly request that participants plan their visits accordingly, limiting them to two per month for one or two animals.

No Reselling or Redistribution: The pet food received from our pantry is intended solely for personal use and cannot be resold or redistributed. We kindly ask participants to honor this policy as it ensures that the resources reach those who need them the most. Violation of this rule may result in permanent disqualification from receiving future assistance.

Follow Clinic Policies: Participants are kindly reminded to adhere to all clinic policies and guidelines while visiting the pet food pantry. This includes respecting the clinic’s property, following instructions from our staff, and complying with any additional rules communicated on-site.

Please note that we do not provide assistance to breeders.

To spread our limited resources through the community, please plan on no more than two visits per month.

We hope to help as many residents as possible during this difficult economic season.

Sincerely,  Dr. Jim Carlson and the staff of Riverside Animal Clinic & Holistic Center
