Kittens need a series of vaccines starting at 8 weeks. However, we believe the need to vaccinate after that is complex and should be a collaborative effort between you and your veterinarian. That includes a comprehensive vaccine risk assessment, doctor recommendations and consideration of county or city laws. Will your cat really need all those vaccines every year for the rest of it’s life? Maybe, depending on your lifestyle, your pet’s lifestyle, the location of your home or vacation spot. And maybe not for reasons such as: age, lifestyle, health issues. Dr. Carlson’s commitment to holistic excellent means we don’t do blanket vaccines at Riverside Animal Clinic McHenry. And we never will.
